He was predeceased by: his father Harold W. Dettwiler Sr. (JoEtta "Jody" Dettwiler); and his daughter Jacklyn Dettwiler. He is survived by: his mother Mary Frances Dettwiler (Melton) of Iowa City, IA; his spouse JoEtta Gipple; his children, Cody Dettwiler of Kingman, AZ and Hannah Dettwiler of Waterloo, IA; and his siblings, John Dettwiler (Renee) of Conroe, TX, Susan Meyer of Holden, MO and Kathy Courtois (Brian) of North Liberty, IA. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
