She was predeceased by: her parents, Eleanora Whipple (Jansen) and Arthur Whipple; her husband Dale Ferguson; and her siblings, Lucille Bianco (Ernest) and Arthur Whipple, Jr. (Beverly).

She is survived by: her children, James Ferguson (Karen), Dr. Polly Ferguson (Kirk Banks) and David Ferguson (Julie); her grandchildren, Mallory Noble, Samantha Ruiz, Nile, Evan Banks, Connor and Lyndee Ferguson; her great grandchildren, Giovanni, Olive, Coralynn, George and Isla; and her brother Joel Whipple (Judy). She is also survived by her family and many friends.

Memorial donations may be directed to Sacred Heart Church or to the Jordan House, both in West Des Moines.
