He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Eichenberger and Mamie Eichenberger (Priebe); his wife Berneice Eichenberger (Wertjes); and his siblings, Ernest, Bernard, Lloyd, Robert Eichenberger and Lucille Reese.

He is survived by: his daughters, Denise Eichenberger of Bancroft, Debra Menke (Matt) of Clive and Ann Schwery (Steve) of Clive, Iowa; and his grandchildren, Deanna Klopf (Pat), Jenny Gauley (Kenny), Amanda Gisch, Daniel Gisch, Alyssa Gisch, Ethan Gisch (Allison), Miranda Gisch, Andrea Montag (Aaron), Brandon Menke (Krissy), Chad Menke, Abbey Galligan (David) and Nathan Schwery. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
