With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sara Kathryn Spurbeck of West Des Moines, Iowa, born in Guthrie, Oklahoma, who passed away on April 23, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Sara Kathryn may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Sara Kathryn touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Phil Hixson and Kathryn Hixson (Tade); and her husband Wayne Spurbeck. She is survived by: her sons, William Spurbeck (Victoria) of El Paso and Michael Spurbeck; and her grandsons, Nicholas, Alex and Daniel.
