With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth A. Rater of West Des Moines, Iowa, born in Greenfield, Iowa, who passed away on August 21, 2020 at the age of 62. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ruth A. Rater to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Daniel Rater and Evelyn June Feick; her grandparents, Ira, Freida Rater, Edwin and Helen Feick; and her brothers, Robert and Ronald Rater.
She is survived by: her husband Richard E. Gonzalez; her children, Geoffrey Michael, Patrick Arjen Michael, Paul Michael David and Stephanie Ann Marie; her grandchildren, Leo Gonzalez and Sadie Gonzalez; her sisters, Risa Rater of Vermillion, SD and RaeJean Lepird (Tim) of Carroll; her aunt Joan Snyder of Council Bluffs; her godsons, Jason Feick of Fontanelle and Jonathan Paulson of Urbandale; and her close friend Brian Cahill of Live Oak, CA. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
