He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Stander and Lillie Stander; his wife Marcella G. Delaere; his sons, Robert Jr. and Stephen; his siblings, James Stander and Ila Mae Chatfield; his nephew Tom Lutz; and his niece Amy Van Dyke.
He is survived by: his daughter Suzanne Peglow (Steve) of Des Moines; his grandchildren, Kourtni, Stephen, Victoria, Zoe, Alice, Zachary, Garrett and Jaelynn; and his siblings, Sara Wulf (Gareld) of Fremont, NE, Carol Franco (Ed) of Lafayette, CO and Charles Stander of Pensacola, FL..
