With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert F Etzel of West Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on August 30, 2023 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Etzel and Pearl Etzel; his brother Jack Etzel; his daughter Marilyn Johansen (Jason); and his close friend Tom Zimmerman.

He is survived by: his sister Karen Nelson (Clara Etzel); and his children, Robert Etzel II (Lori), Roger Etzel (Kym) and Rosemary Palmisano. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to EveryStep Hospice.
