He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Barker and Cecilia Barker (Hughes). He is survived by: his children, Jason Barker, Kim Powell (Troy) and Sara Keller (Adam); his grandchildren, Maya, Emma Barker, Dylan, Dalton Powell, Caitlyn and Hayden Keller; his sisters, Cindy Wilson (Gary) and Susan Woodyard; and his close friend Melanie Brons. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
