He is survived by: his wife Patricia Paulsen; his daughter Kristin Dale (Michael Berman) of Brooklyn, NY; his granddaughter Julia Berman; his son Peter Dale (Lisa) of Pewaukee, WI; his grandsons, Dillon and Tyler Dale; his daughter Sara Van Tuyl of Des Moines; his grandchildren, Isaac Amber and Finn Amber; his son Steven Van Tuyl (Megan Ward) of Corvallis, OR; his granddaughters, Matilda and Harriet Ward; and his brothers, Harold "Buddy" Dale of Des Moines and Michael Dale of Des Moines.
