He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis "Bill" and Francesca Cairo (Masters). He is survived by: his wife Norma Dekker; his son Gentry Cairo (Krista); his grandchildren, Reece, Calli and Zane Cairo; and his brothers, Ron Cairo (Susan) and Brent Cairo (Julie).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Orren's memory to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa or to the Friends of Iowa PBS Foundation.
