He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Breta Soldat and James Robert "Bob" Soldat; his close friend Jeanne Anderson; his children, Nathan Soldat and Jesse Soldat; the mother of his children Marcia Soldat; his daughter-in-law Sela; his grandchildren-in-law, Akil Soldat and Zuhura Soldat; and his siblings, Craig Soldat (Marianne Ferro), Christopher Soldat (Todd Simpson) and Lisa Soldat.
