He was predeceased by: his parents, Manus DeJong and Etta DeJong (Anema); and his brothers, Fred (Jean), Charlie, Herman, Arnold and Kenneth DeJong.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn DeJong; his children, Brian DeJong (Vicki), Pam Sevier, Lori Hyde and Christi Tisl (Bob); his siblings, Evelyn Vis, Esther DeRoon (Clarence), Marilyn Doiron and Corky DeJong (Jan); and his sister-in-law Eileen DeJong. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
