Lou Mae touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eldon Vanderah and Eleanor Vanderah (Roth); her husband Vince of Mary's Church; her son Greg; her brother Jerry; and her son-in-law Roger Oberfoell.
She is survived by: her children, Angela Shalla (Jeff) of Iowa City, Joan Lampe (Jim) of Castle Rock, Diane Hilby (Kevin) of Rockford, Teresa Driscoll (Kevin) of Des Moines, Sandra Zelinskas (Eric) of Valdosta, Georgia, Sarah Stonskas (Peter) of Park View, Amy Oberfoell (Roger) of Cedar Rapids, Robert "Rob" Hasken (Lindsay) of Savoy and Kathryn "Katie" Robinson (Aaron) of Johnston, Iowa; and her siblings, Elaine McNeil (James) of East Dubuque, Mary "Monnie" Liddle of Morton, Esther Schiltz of Austin, Marlene May (Richard) of Asbury and Steve Vanderah (Mary) of Iowa City, Iowa.. She is also survived by fifty-two grandchildren; and seventy-five great grandchildren.
A rosary was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Miller Funeral Home (1185 IL-35, East Dubuque, IL 61025). Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Church (170 Montgomery Ave, East Dubuque, IL 61025).
