He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Viola Reineking (Christiansen) and Wilbert Reineking. He is survived by: his former wife Charlene; his friend Shirley Jones (Hansen); his daughters, Tracy Strohm (Scott) and Keri Curtis (James); his stepchildren, Lori Ruge-Jones (Phil) and Steve Jones (Laura); his grandchildren, Brennen Strohm (Kelci Scott), Katherine Strohm, Michaela Curtis, Ben Curtis, Kayla Hammons (Rob), Luisa Ruge-Jones, Jonah Jones (Ashley), Lucas Ruge-Jones (Lexi) and Grace "Ryan" Jones; his wife Shirley; his siblings, Maxine Freese, Dalton and Lowell Reineking; his brother-in-law James Freese; and also, Lori and Steve. He is also survived by nephews, a niece, several cousins and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lutheran Church of Hope West Des Moines (925 Jordan Creek Pkwy, West Des Moines, IA 50266). A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
