She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Basil Swaim and Betty Swaim; her husband Lonny Wilson; her daughters, Sarah Rader (Jeff) of Clive and Laura Fleener (Brandon) of Waukee; her grandchildren, Anna Rader, Quinn Fleener and Kieran Fleener; her brothers, Kent Swaim (Marlene), Kurt Swaim (Julie) and Kim Swaim (Linda); and her brother-in-law Rick Wilson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the endowed Kay Swaim Wilson Memorial Fund at WHUMC where it will be used to support children's programs.
