It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Lea Patch (West Des Moines, Iowa), born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on September 1, 2022, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vivian Horn and Ken Horn; her husband Dale Patch; her stepmother Shirley Horn; and her sisters, Linda Shipman, Marge Horn and Becca Whiteley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Julie Patch (Scott Smith) and Kate Patch (Brian Hutzel); her grandchildren, Vivian, Ash and Hale; her child Ryan Patch (Kara); her grandchildren, Adele, Ken, John and Sam; and her sister Martha Stearns. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Central Iowa Shelter and Services or to the Food Bank of Iowa.
