As John Henry departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though John Henry may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy John Henry leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wayne and Alice Janssen; his sister Joyce Speech; and his brother-in-law Forrest Dubberke. He is survived by: his sister Joan Dubberke of Ames; his nephews, Dennis Dubberke (Cheryl Bara) of Ames, Tom Speech (Deb), Jeff Speech (Kim) of Mikwaukee, WI and Matt Dubberke (Tonya Walker) of Kalona, IA; his niece Becky Dubberke of Ames; and his brother-in-law Jack Speech of Milwaukee, WI. He is also survived by three great nieces, one great nephew and one great-great nephew.
