She was predeceased by: her parents, J. D. Hendrick and Marjorie Hendrick; her niece Stacy Underwood; her nephew Billy Stodgel; and her pet Murphy.

She is survived by: her sisters, Judy Boatwright, Mary-Glen Stodgel and Sandra Carr; her children, Amie, Kurt (Debra) and Jeff Harris (Gina); and her grandchildren, Kennedy, Piper and Hendrick Harris.

Memorials for Janet Harris can be made out to the Iowa Jewish Senior Life Center or the Iowa Alzheimer's Association.
