We are sad to announce that on October 11, 2022, at the age of 87, James Anthony DeMatteis (West Des Moines, Iowa), born in Altoona, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Raymond and Naomi DeMatteis (Mallot); and his siblings, John DeMatteis and Nancy Whiteman (Jane DeMatteis). He is survived by: his former wife Jane Laughard; his children, James Raymond (Marie), Jana and Joni; his wife Judy Thomas; his brothers, David (Jayetta) and Kenneth Fuchs (Roxanne); his grandchildren, Ryan Robbins, Eron Maty and Whitney DeMatteis; and his stepgrandchildren, Christian and Benjamin Ferkin (Jordyn). He is also survived by his family and his many friends.
