She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Julius Baas and Regina Baas (Lehman); her daughter Susan Hanifen; her husband James Hanifen, Jr.; and her children, James E. Hanifen, III (Linda) of Johnston, IA, Rosemary Watters (Samuel) of Orange, TX and Julie Hanifen (Collin Allen) of Ankeny, IA. She was also cherished by 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Helen's favorite charities, Habitat for Humanity or Paper for Water.
