We are sad to announce that on August 27, 2024, at the age of 76, Gordon Richard Shoeman (West Des Moines, Iowa) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon C. Shoeman and Mildred Shoeman; his brother Reginald Shoeman; and his daughter Anna Shoeman. He is survived by: his wife Janet Shoeman; his daughter Jessica; his son-in-law Nick Borror; and his siblings, Janice Peterson, Jeannie Shoeman, Joan Vial, Robert Shoeman and Dorothy Futter.
In lieu of traditional gestures, those wishing to honor Gordon's technicolor legacy may make contributions to the Des Moines Art Center, a place that fueled his creative spirit.
