He was predeceased by: his son Andrew Smith; his sister Melinda Heiberg; his stepmother Florence Smith; and his parents, Gordon V Smith and Leona Smith (Hollister).
He is survived by: his sons, Charles Greth (Jennifer), Rick Greth (Shellie), Mike Greth (Melissa) and Alex Smith; and his grandchildren, Zach, Lauren (Charles), Luke, Ben, Caroline (Rick), Lindsay and Allie (Mike).
