He is survived by: his wife Brenda; and his children, Michael Oliphant and Kathy Quaas (Scott). He is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
When Gary retired, he became a volunteer at the small claims court, a hospital ambassador and a driver for the Free Store organization collecting used furniture donations for families starting over from abusive situations.
