He was predeceased by: his parents, Morry and Bettye Johnson of Minneapolis; his son Jeff; his sister-in-law Becky Johnson; his sister Sharon; and his brother-in-law Ron Asmus.
He is survived by: his brothers, Gary and David; his wife Elsie; his sons, Joel Johnson (Wendy) of Tolland and Jamie Johnson (Janis); and his grandchildren, Brandon, Michael (Alyssa), Joel, Noah, Jacob (Lauren), Elizabeth (Joe), John (Keely), Victoria, Susan and Joseph. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
