With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Erika Williams (West Des Moines, Iowa), born in Ames, Iowa, who passed away on September 4, 2022 at the age of 44. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Dennis Saari. She is survived by: her husband Steve; her son Luca; her grandmother Kathleen; her sister Jessica; her brother-in-law Adam; her nephews, Dane and Devin; and her niece Annika. She is also survived by many aunts and cousins; as well as friends.
During COVID quarantine in Hawaii, Erika became a talented genealogist, and found a new calling tracing her ancestors back through the generations, collecting stories, photographs, news articles, and tracking down birth and death certificates from as far away as Norway and Finland.
