It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ellen Mortenson of West Des Moines, Iowa, born in Spirit Lake, Iowa, who passed away on January 27, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Ray; her parents, Ira Morgan and Irene Morgan; and her siblings, Leon, Alfred Morgan (Buzz), Eunice Bunce (Tootie) and Myrna Shreve.
She is survived by: her former husband Raymond C Mortenson (Lefty); her children, PJ Mortenson Rundall, Jeffrey Mortenson (Phyllis) and Julie Morrison (Alan); her grandchildren, Jason Westergard, Andrew Mortenson (Katie), Nick Morrison (Chelsea) and Brianna Bosco (Scott); and her great grandchildren, Amelia, Emily, Daniel, Adalynn Mortenson, Natalie Bosco and Myles Morrison. She is also survived by her children and her pets.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association at Alz.org in memory of Ellen Mortenson.
