He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carl Jackman and Mabel Jackman; his son Thomas (Melinda); his grandchildren, Todd (Shay) and Jennifer (Brian); his close friend Rhonda Hughes; and his sister Delilah Strand (Walt). He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family requests that donations be made to Alzheimer's Association.
