He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmond Ahrens and Nellie Ahrens (Stanton) of Sutherland, Iowa; and his siblings, Marilyn Kjergaard (Harlan) of Rowena and James Ahrens (Carolyn) of Clear Lake, Iowa.. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Ahrens (Painovich); his daughters, Angela Ahrens-Marenco (Jim) of Mission Viejo, California and Alycia Ahrens of Houston, Texas; and his brother Roger Ahrens (Louise) of Anoka, Minnesota. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
