She was predeceased by: her parents, Ingvard Jorgensen and Molly Jorgensen (Cartensen); her husband Eugene Carlton Kahl; her son Daniel Jon; her brothers, Harold and Arden Jorgensen; her brothers-in-law, Rev. Truman Halvorsen and Bob Schesvold; and her siblings, Lowell, Verna Halvorsen and Grace Schesvold.
She is survived by: her children, Marigene Petersen (Bill), Susan Kahl, Deborah Johnston (Mark) and West; her grandchildren, Jon Petersen (Amanda), Brittany Petersen, Kacie Meyer (Nate) and Steven Johnston (Sarah); her great grandchildren, Daniel, Brooks, Clara Jo Meyer, Brock, Molly, Dean Petersen, Rosalie, Aubrey and Landon Johnston; her sister Ruth Francis of Minneapolis, MN; and her sisters-in-law, Grace Jorgensen and Ann Jorgensen. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
