He was predeceased by: his parents, John Degnan and Anna Degnan; his siblings, Annette Ellsworth, Judge L. Jack Degnan, Irish Degnan, Dr. Edward Degnan and Marion Jacobs; and his pet Paddy.

He is survived by: his wife Ann Mooney Degnan; his children, Bill Degnan (Ann), Ellen Degnan Weber, Karen Degnan Sorensen, Donald Degnan (Kelly) and John Degnan (Lisa); and his sister Mercedes Schappler. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
