It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Khodai (West Des Moines, Iowa), who passed away on March 30, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of David Khodai to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Khodai and Albert Khodai; his uncle Riley Bulkan; and his brothers-in-law, John Metz, Seaford Roopnaraine and Hiraman Hardat.
He is survived by: his former wife Bev Khodai; his aunt Gloria Bulkan; his daughters, Melissa Burkheimer (Eric) and Amanda Phaydavong (Scott); his stepdaughters, Julie Cummings and Anita Gurwell; his siblings, Johnny Khodai (Reba), Jailal Khodai (Laura), Jasmatee Roopnaraine, Babjone Jadoo (Raymond), Rajmattie Khodai and Janet Metz; and his grandchildren, Trenton, Nathan Burkheimer, Scottie, Andre Phaydavong, Mark, Mike, Tommy and Dylan Gurwell. He is also survived by many cousins, nephews, nieces, aunties, uncles, and friends.
The family requests masks be worn and social distancing is encouraged.
