He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Klaassen; his children, Spencer Klaassen (Angie) of St. Joseph, MO, Vicki Chew (Michael) of Woodinville, WA, Jodi Define (John) of Lenexa, KS, Mike Johnson (Misti) of Polo, MO and Deborah Fajardo of Glenwood, IA; his grandchildren, Hannah Wiedow (Trystan), Henry Klaassen, Connor Chew, Julia Chew, Alexandria Define, Aila Define, Gabriella Define, Alex Johnson, Erik Johnson, Emily Fajardo and Sophie Fajardo; his brothers, Curtis Klaassen (Cherry) of Leawood, KS and Gary Klaassen (Cyndi) of Pocahontas, IA; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Klaassen, Dick Hines of Weldon, Iowa, Connie, Tom Pyron of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Jan Spurgeon of Centerville, Iowa. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He also served as District Rotary Foundation Chair and Annual Fund Chair.
