She is survived by: her daughter Margaret Oakes (James); her granddaughter Tiffini Shepard; her great grandchild Andrea Shepard; and her great great grandchildren, Zackariah and Zander Lucas.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Resthaven Cemetery (801 19th St, West Des Moines, IA 50265).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family and will be given to a charity of their choosing at a later date in memory of Carole.
