We are sad to announce that on June 14, 2024, at the age of 60, Brett Lee Nelson (West Des Moines, Iowa) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Sharon Nelson (Van Sloten); and his grandparents, Mervin, Grace Nelson, John Van Sloten and Agnus Heronemus.
He is survived by: his father Roger Nelson (Cheryl) of Farmington, Minnesota; his wife Vicki Nelson; his children, Taylor Nelson (Samantha) of Ankeny, Iowa and Kaitlyn Nelson (Tony Bockhaus) of Waverly, Iowa; his siblings, Sandy Hirschauer (Tom) and Scott Nelson of Rowley, Iowa; and his close friend Brett. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family as they intend to use for Alzheimer research at Mayo Clinic and the University of Iowa.
