It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anthony R. Mendoza (West Des Moines, Iowa), who passed away on December 27, 2021, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel G. Mendoza and Catherine T. Roybal (Ellenwood); his stepfather Joseph Roybal; his sister Marilyn Haddenham; his brother-in-law Dennis Rosenberger; and his granddaughter Abigail Ruth.

He is survived by: his wife Debbie Sawhill; his sons, Joshua and John (Becky); his grandchildren, Maddox, Paityn, Paxton and Sawyer; his son Jacob (Lana); his grandchildren, Grace, Joanna and Nathon; his siblings, Manuel Jr. Mendoza (Esther), Philip Mendoza (Joanne), Kathryn Perez, Pat Mendoza, Pam Reece, Diana Winchester (James) and Robert Roybal (Michelle); his sister-in-law Donna Rosenberger; his sister Doreen; and his brother-in-law Dick Moore. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
