He was predeceased by: his son Troy Jackson; his parents, James Jackson and Della Jackson; his brother Marvin Jackson; and his brother-in-law Jim Stein.

He is survived by: his former wife Sandra Jackson (Kennedy); his children, Erica Thomson (Wayne) of Burlington and Kyle of Raleigh, NC; his grandchildren, Rocky, Bianca and Vanessa Thomson; and his siblings, Tim Jackson (Judy) of Danville, Darla Stein of Storm Lake, Marla Woodsmall (Roger) of Morning Sun and Mark Jackson (Stacy) of San Marcos, CA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Willard's memory may be directed to either Hope Haven Area Development Center or Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House.
