He was predeceased by: his parents, Harl Wesley and Marvel Lenora Cole Boyd; and his sister Annabelle Boyd. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Boyd of West Burlington, IA; his children, Randy Boyd (Malinda) of West Branch, IA, Julie Petersen (Kim), Rodney Boyd (Kelly) of Phoenix, AZ, Troy Boyd (Melissa) of Cordova, IA and Wesley Boyd (Lisa) of Otley, IA; his stepsons, Michael Forseen (Tammy) of Mount Pleasant, IA, Scott Farris of Washington, IA, Joe Farris (Jill) of Keokuk, IA and Bobby Forseen (Jamie) of Mount Pleasant, IA; and his siblings, Merlin Boyd of Lovelin, CO, Barbara Taylor of Dallas City, IA, Donna McCarty of Fort Madison, IA and Karen Schnedler of Keosaqua, IA. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the American Kidney Foundation.
