With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Monica Mesler of West Burlington, Iowa, born in Burlington, Iowa, who passed away on July 20, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis B. Meyer and Charlotte Hagerty Meyer. She is survived by: her husband James P. Mesler of West Burlington, IA; her children, Ann Marie Kirk of Burlington, Jean Elizabeth Helling (Leon) of Ankeny, IA, Thomas James Mesler (Deborah) of Rome, PA and Patrick Joseph Mesler (Anna) of Burlington; her grandchildren, Janette Kirk-Yenchko, Eric Rahn (Natasha Knutson), Jana Rahn-Kilfoy (Timothy), Nathaniel Poli (Kristina), Brooke Poli, Summer Mesler, Lily Mesler, Breana Williams-Hawkins (Michael) and Gage Mesler; and her great grandchildren, Evelyn, Claire, Logan Yenchko, Luca Rahn, Kaden Kilfoy, Avery, Sydney and James DeWayne "J. D." Hawkins. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, West Burlington Police Department, and West Burlington Fire Department.
