It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mike Kartel (West Burlington, Iowa), who passed away on January 13, 2020, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Joseph G. Kartel; his stepfather Dean; his daughter Terrie; and his brothers, Steve and Joseph.
He is survived by: his mother Juanita Stephan Kartel; his former spouse Lynn Kartel; his sisters, Juli Kartel (Kelly), Hill of Champaign, IL and Debra Yacko (John) of Divide, CO; his children, Alaura Rappenecker (Kyle) of Burlington, Arrin Kartel (Sean Walker) of Burlington and Jesse Kartel of Burlington; and his grandson Ian Rappenecker.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
