He was predeceased by: his parents, Ashby Burkett and Virginia Burkett (Smith); and his grandson Tanner Boothe. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Burkett of West Burlington; and his children, Roxanne Argyros (Jerry) of Eldora, Cindy Boothe (Steve) of West Burlington, Mike Burkett of Sunrise Beach and Brenda Rodgers (Keith) of Lee. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for the children's hospital and the Des Moines County Humane Society.
