He was predeceased by: his parents, G. W. Bass and Josephine Bass (Dixon); his siblings, Ralva Ray Bass and Retha Mae Fudge; and his great grandchild Jude Matthew Dow.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Bramon of West Branch; his children, Pat Dow (Roger) of Ohio and Gary Bass (Yolanda) of West Branch; his grandchildren, Dustin Dow (Theresa) of Ohio, Katie Kowalczk (Jason) of Maryland, Joshua Dow (Alexandra) of North Carolina, Gary Bass (Tammy) and Kristin Doyle (Dan) of Texas; his great grandchildren, Miles, Lucia Dow, Kelsey, Jacob Kowalczk, Eden, Declan, Isaac Dow, Cora, Giles, Bryce Bass and Derek Doyle; and his siblings, Luola Bass Mathers of New Mexico and Vernon Bass (Linda) of Arkansas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Iowa City Hospice.
