He is survived by: his wife Emelita Aliganga; his daughters, Cassandra (Cale Raasch) of Ames and Sarah Scheer (Allan J. Furr) of Ames; and his siblings, Doug (Beth) of Marion, Karla Scheer (Brian Hintermeister) of Lowden, Dave (Jeanne) of Wheatland, Mike (Joy) of Clarence, Steve (Janet) of Lowden, Lisa Decker (Jeff) of Lowden and Chris (Joan) of Lowden. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
