It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin E. Korschgen (West Branch, Iowa), who passed away on November 20, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Korschgen and Bertha Korschgen (Roach); his former wife Donna; his brothers, Neal and Nile; his brothers-in-law, Jerry Burns, Dr. Richard Burns and Warner Bantz; and his niece Libby Bantz.
He is survived by: his wife Mel; his close friend Henry Melhorn (Connie); his children, Camille Korschgen of Wichita, KS, Brad Korschgen (Kerry) of West Amana, IA and Carmen Johnson (Chris) of Cedar Rapids, IA; his grandchildren, Owen (Hannah), Gabe (Jasmine), Connor, Kealan, Camden, Maegan (Amer) and Samantha (LaKyle); his sisters-in-law, Glenda Burns of Florence, SC and Becky Bantz of Wichita, KS; and his grandchildren, Brandon, Taya and Chyna Young. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the West Branch All Sports Booster Club or the West Branch Lions Club.
