She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Moritz and Minnie Moritz (Meyer); her husband Edward Mikkelsen; her daughter Myrna Bricker; her sons-in-law, Bob, Bill and Jack; her siblings, Harry, Irvin and Ednamae; and her grandchildren, Lynne and Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Marilyn Smith of Hampton, IA, Marsha Potter of Mason City, IA, Marcella "Mick" Laughlin of West Branch, IA and Edward Mikkelsen Jr. (Jenny) of Mason City, IA; her son-in-law Jim Bricker of Shelby, OH; her grandchildren, Rick, Greg, Diane, Kim, Willy, David, Roger, Leanna, Camie, Bobby, Barb, Tony, Stacey, Brittany, Tara and Maddie; and her nephew Larry Lightbody (Judy) of Thornton, IA. She is also survived by several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Alzheimer's Association or Crestview Specialty Care in West Branch.
