He was predeceased by: his parents, Salvatore Mobily and Josephine Mobily (Voytus). He is survived by: his wife Paula Cornett; his children, Michelle Borgwardt (Christian) of Ft. Collins, CO and Matthew Mobily (Massiel) of Jacksonville, FL; his grandchildren, Reed, Bowen Borgwardt and Lucas Mobily; and his sisters, Denise Duke (Robert) of Parma, OH and Diane Mullins of Colfax, IA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the University of Iowa Foundation: Health and Human Physiology Department.
