He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth D. Lathrop and Patricia A. Lathrop (Albin); and his brother-in-law Thomas Larson. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Ristvedt; his daughter Brenda Alberhasky (Mike) of North Liberty; his grandchildren, Caitlyn Reinhard (Jeff) and Cole McKillip of North Liberty; his great grandchild Reese; his stepmother Ruth Lathrop of West Branch; his siblings, Dennis (LouAnn) of Woodlawn Hills, CA, Mike (Susan) of Indianola and Cindy Lynch (Steve) of West Branch; his stepsisters, Sherrie Anderson of Raytown, MO and Theresa Winders of Lake Wales, FL; his brother-in-law Jim Larson (Jodi) of Chicago, IL; and also Brenda. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials in Whitey's name to the West Branch United Methodist Church, the West Branch First Responders or a charity of the donor's choice.
