He is survived by: his children, Kim Salm (Dan) of Iowa City, Lisa (William Wallace) of Coralville, Tom Abel of West Branch, Chris Abel of West Branch and Andrea Walsh (John) of West Branch; his grandchildren, Lauren Rasmussen (Drew), Kyla Salm, Ben, Zach Thompson and Will Tidrick; his brother Raymond; and also Patricia of Burlington, Iowa..
