He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Brothersen and Genevieve Brothersen (McGivern); his parents-in-law, Gaylen and Orlane Huey; his siblings, Alice Jeannine Brant, Robert Brothersen and Jack Brothersen; his brother-in-law David Cline; and his great-niece Loralai Nicole Gutierrez.
He is survived by: his spouse Jean Brothersen of Tipton, IA; his children, AJ Brothersen (Marissa) of Las Vegas, NV, Jessica Van Roekel (Alex) of Monroe, WI, Josh Divoky (Michelle) of Solon, IA, Joe Divoky (Tommy) and Jon Divoky of Cedar Bluff, IA; his siblings, Patty Cline of Grinnell, IA, Peggy Franklin (David) of Spring, TX, Greg (Colleen) of Hockley, TX, Pepper (Karen Taylor) of Guernsey, IA, David (Debbie) and Janelle Brothersen of Grinnell, IA; his brother-in-law Bill Brant of Spencer, IA; and his grandchildren, Sydney, Olivia, Ezra, Benjamin, Michael and Hayden. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A prayer will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home West Branch (201 Pedersen St, West Branch, IA 52358).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the family (Jean Brothersen) to be used at a later date.
