She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Sherrard and Esther Sherrard (Reeves); and also Stella Montag. She is survived by: her children, Susan Fuchsen (John) of Rockwell, IA, Tim Montag of San Jose, CA, Joe Montag (Kathy) of West Bend, IA, Patrick Montag of Dallas, TX, Judy Montag of Forest City, IA and Phillip Montag (Karen) of Forest City, IA; her sister-in-law Miriam Sherrard of Johnston, IA.; her husband Emmet; her daughter Mary Jane; her great grandchildren, Owen Shramek and Caleb Prentice; and her brothers, Les and Harry Sherrard. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren.
