It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Louise Dennett (Wesley, Iowa), who passed away on May 8, 2020, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Wallace Irwin and Pearl Irwin of Columbus, Ohio.; her husbands, Colonel Transue and Robert Dennett; her daughter-in-law Denice Transue; her children, Terry Transue and Janice Rosenberg (Kent); her stepdaughters, Judy Hanrahan (Joe) and Cheryl Rooney; and her grandchildren, Taylor Transue, Thomas Transue (Sara Beth), Lana Hanrahan-Ahmed (Mike), Tracie Peterson (Ryan), Greg Hanrahan, Reid Rosenberg, Aaron Rosenberg, Steve Rooney (Shari), Jim Rooney (Cyndi), Scott Rooney (Desi) and Doug Rooney (Cindy). She was also cherished by many great-grandchildren.
She was born during a pandemic on July 4, 1919 and died during the current pandemic, but succumbed to neither.
